The closing and prize giving ceremony of “Polar Ice Cream 27th School Handball Tournament (Boys & Girls)-2022” organized under the overall management of Bangladesh Handball Federation and under the sponsorship of Dhaka Ice Cream Industries Limited will be held on Tuesday 30th August 2022 at 03:30 PM at Paltanstha Shaheed. (Captain) M. Held at Mansoor Ali National Handball Stadium.
Honorable Member of Parliament of Bangladesh Mr. Nahim Razzak attended as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the players of the champion and runner-up teams of the boys and girls division of the tournament.
Mr. Shah Masud Imam, Chief Executive Officer of Dhaka Ice Cream Industries Ltd. was present as a special guest.
The event was presided over by Mr. Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Honorable General Secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation.
Chairman of the tournament committee and vice president of the federation Mr. Golam Habib, executive member of the federation and secretary of the tournament committee Md. Salim Mia Babu and other officials of the federation were present on the occasion.

Boys Category:
In the final match of the boys section held at 3.00 pm, St. Gregory’s High School defeated Narinda Government High School 35-24 to become the tournament champions while Narinda Government High School finished as runners-up. The winning team led 16-09 in the first half. Arafat scored maximum 10 goals for the winning team and Md Rafi scored maximum 12 goals for the defeated team.
Girls Division:
In the final match of the girls’ division held at 1.30 pm, Vikaroon-Nissa Noon School and College defeated Sunnydale School 12-06 to become the champions of the tournament while Sunnydale finished as runners-up. The winning team was leading 06-02 in the first half. Naosin and Mohtafin scored maximum 4 goals each for the winning team and Muzdalifa scored maximum 3 goals for the defeated team.

Boys Category:
Sunnydale School defeated Dhaka Residential Model College 21-16 in the 3rd/4th place decider game of the boys division of the tournament held at 10:30 am to clinch the 3rd place. The winning team led 10-09 in the first half. Ahyan Ahmed scored maximum 6 goals for the winning team and Sami scored maximum 6 goals for the defeated team.
Girls Division:
Shahid Bir Uttam Le: Anwar Girls College defeated Kadamtala East Basabo School 08-05 in the 3rd/4th place decider game of the girls division of the tournament held at 12:00 pm to secure the 3rd place. The first half of the game was tied at 03-03. Humaira Islam scored maximum 3 goals for the winning team and Sumaiya and Sanjeeda scored 2 goals each for the defeated team.
Best player:
Arafat of St. Gregory’s High School No. 07 was adjudged the best player in the boys category and
In the girls category, Ramisha Hasan, jersey number 12 of Vikarun-Nisa Noon School and College, was selected as the best player.
