Under the management of Bangladesh Handball Federation and sponsored by Walton Hi-Tech Industries the closing ceremony of “Walton Under-17 National Youth Handball Competition-2024” was held today at Shahid (Captain) M. Mansoor Ali National Handball Stadium.
The Secretary (Joint Secretary) of the National Sports Council Md. Aminul Islam, NDC, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest and distributed the prizes among the players of the champion and runner-up teams of the competition.
Mr. FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don, Senior Executive Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries was present as a special guest.
Bangladesh Handball Federation Vice President Md. Hasan Ullah Khan Rana, Assistant General Secretary Mr. SM Khalequzzaman (Swapan) and Md. Salauddin Ahmed, Treasurer of the Federation Md. Jahangir Hossain, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Competition and Vice President of the Federation Md. Nurul Islam, Executive member of the federation and secretary of the organizing committee of the competition Md. Salim Mia Babu and other officials of the federation.
Result of Final Match:
01) In the final game held at 02:00 PM, Bandarban District Sports Association defeated Dhaka District Sports Association by 37-22 to become the champions of the competition. The winning team led 16-08 in the first half. Bandarban District Sports Association jersey No. 09 holder Ongtimeng Marma scored 14 goals in the final game.
Best player:
Bandarban District Sports Association’s jersey No. 09 holder Ongtimeng Marma was adjudged the best player of the tournament.
